Hi, I’m Karlene!

Welcome to The Evergreen Homemaker! I am so happy that you dropped by. I live in tropical north Queensland with my husband of almost 15 years and my three boys aged between 2 and 10.

I find joy in embracing the seasons, crafting easy homemade recipes, and creating cozy, DIY décor that fills our home with warmth and love. In the last few years, I have actively tried to slow down (that pace does NOT come naturally to me) live the simple life, and give ‘hustle culture’ the flick. I refuse to rush through Motherhood any longer.

Prioritising the childhood of my boys and putting our family first has changed my perspective on what a Homemaker is and how much power a Homemaker has when it comes to changing the World of those that you love most. I look forward to sharing budget-friendly inspiration, recipes, and ideas with you here on the blog.
